COVID-19 Update April 4, 2020

Church Family,

After careful discussion with the church board, the decision has been made to suspend face to face church activities throughout April. With the situation with COVID-19 (novel coronavirus) likely to get worse before it gets better, we felt that the safety of our immuno-compromised members was a high priority.

With that, please note that as of this post there are 11 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Okmulgee County. This is also not a time to panic or fear because Jesus already has this virus in His hands. Our hope and trust is in Him, and Him alone. 2 Timothy 1:7 says "For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline (NLT)."

I will make available the sermons that I would normally give in person. We will use the technology that is at our disposal to continue to serve the Lord together. Information about how to access these messages will come later in the week as I evaluate what will be the best way for the church to disseminate the message in an online format.

The Board will closely monitor the situation in the coming weeks to determine if we need to suspend face to face church any additional time. As of now, we plan to resume face to face church Sunday May 3, 2020.

May the God of peace fill you with all joy and hope as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit --Romans 15:13 (NIV).

In His Service,

Kyle

 2 Kings 3:21 (NIV)
